Paul Reubens, also known as Peewee Herman, has quite a few arrest records in the past. The officers first detained him in 1971 at an adult theater for loitering and prowling, but the charges on him were released.

Later, in 1983, he was again arrested for marijuana and faced two years of probation. However,  the public’s attention drew more to him with his July 1991 arrest in an adult theater for indecent exposure in Sarasota, Florida.

The arrest was a downfall to his career as an artist, with Disney-MGM Studios suspending his video and Toys “R” Us removing the toys of Peewee. At that time, many thought he retire from his career; or the show got canceled.

Nevertheless, on 7 November 1991, the charges were kept off him, pleading no contest and duty-bound him for community service of 75 hours.

In 2002, Paul again got arrested for pornography with the charge of misdemeanor possession of obscene material improperly representing the 18 below child in sexual conduct.

However, he pleaded not guilty, and the charges of child pornography got dropped in exchange for a lesser misdemeanor obscenity charge.

He stated at the time, “One thing I want to make very, very clear I don’t want anyone for one second to think that I am titillated by images of children. It’s not me…. As long as one of the things you’re not thinking about me is that I’m a pedophile. Because that’s not true.”
